Multi-Branch NDS User Joins PFW

PFW Password - Winter 2001/02 One of the newest dealers to join PFW Systems is Bejac Corporation. Based in Placentia, California, Bejac Corporation has been in operation for 47 years and has 66 employees with branch locations in Escondido, California and Phoenix, Arizona. Their main distribution lines are Kawasaki Wheel Loaders, Link-Belt Excavators and Dynapac Compactors.

Bejac Corporation was founded in 1953 as a pipeline construction company, but later moved into underground water construction. In 1984, Bejac changed directions and ventured into the equipment rental business. By 1986, the construction economy was booming and Bejac was fully entrenched in the heavy construction equipment rental business. In 1988, the company was able to offer equipment not only for rental but for sale as well. Having grown to 18 employees and developed the ability to perform nearly all functions in-house, Bejac had the capability to control not only the cost of doing business but the quality of service and support to its customers.

Throughout the 1990s, Bejac continued to improve its facilities and conduct itself as a true dealership. These included the addition of new offices; significant computer enhancements; additional buildings for parts, welding, paint, and machining; heavy-haul lowbed truck/trailers and many others. These improvements and expansions would allow for the integration of new lines of products as well as the promotion of parts and service, further strengthening its foundation and its ability to maintain a high level of customer service.

Today, Bejac Corporation enjoys a strong market share in sales, rentals and service, due mostly to its dedication to its customers and quality control. To maintain this level of service, employee training and technological upgrades are a high priority. Since Bejac was dissatisfied with their current business system, they looked at other systems, including DIS and EBS. Vice President Ron Barlet quickly recognized that the PFW Management System is a proven, stable and reliable platform. "We favored PFW Systems over other systems because of our high confidence level that PFW would be able to support our needs. PFW demonstrated an innovative attitude to keep up with dealer needs," commented Mr. Barlet.

"The most critical aspect of our decision was PFW's product support modules. We were impressed with PFW's Management Central, eServices and wireless applications and the fact that the IBM iSeries 400 is the perfect solution for multi-branch stores," Ron continued.
