Each time a technician begins work on a work-order repair job, they log on to the work order by scanning their individual barcode and the barcode representing a segment of the work order. When the technician has completed the repair work they then log off the work order using the same process, and the log on and off times are automatically recorded to the work order.

With PFW Labor Barcode Collection, you can save time through the instantaneous recording of barcode collection. Your service clerk no longer needs to spend time keying in timecard information at the end of the day or the next morning. With PFW Labor Barcode Collection, actual work time is recorded instantly, every time a technician logs on and off a work order. As well, you can print invoices immediately and your customers’ invoices can be printed upon completion of the work order—eliminating the need to wait until the next day to find the total value of the work order.

Streamline Processes
Since work-order repair jobs are recorded instantly in PFW Labor Barcode Collection, you can increase service efficiency as your technicians’ hours are totalled according to the number of hours they were logged on to a job. These totals are conveniently sent to payroll and technicians can be paid according to the hours worked, and not for “off time”, when they are logged off a work order.

With PFW Labor Barcode Collection, you can monitor current projects in progress, and also view a specialized supervisor display screen where supervisors are able to monitor scanned entries and work in progress, as well as exercise the freedom to correct and change any existing entry, or add a new one.

As well, system parameters can be configured to control the number of work orders a single technician can be signed on to at a time, maximum number of technicians that can simultaneously work on a single work order, and maximum and minimum hours allowed.
